If your only axis is cost, Cloud Pharmacy is the current leader. Its £174.99 maintenance dose undercuts the next provider by £14 a month and the market's dearest names by roughly £74. It is a GPhC-registered, UK-based pharmacy, so a registered prescriber makes the clinical call. What Wegovy actually does

Wegovy is semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist given as a once-weekly injection. In the landmark STEP 1 trial, adults with overweight or obesity lost on average about 15% of body weight (mean −14.9%) over 68 weeks at the 2.4 mg dose, alongside lifestyle changes, versus about 2.4% on placebo. It is also the only weight-loss jab shown, in the SELECT trial, to cut heart attack and stroke risk in people with established heart disease.

It is licensed by the MHRA for weight management in adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27–30 with a weight-related condition. On the NHS in England it is available only through specialist weight-management services under NICE TA875, for up to two years, which is why most people access it privately. Common side effects include nausea (around 40% of users), diarrhoea, vomiting, constipation and headache; rarer serious risks include pancreatitis and gallstones.
